Yesterday while shooting for Yamla Pagla Deewana in Punjab with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, Dharmendra suffered from a heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital after he complained about feeling uneasy.

At first director Samir Karnik thought that the food didn't go down well with the veteran actor. However, Dharmendra felt that it was important to get a check-up done.

The Patiala doctors felt that he should be taken to a better hospital in Chandigarh. Samir assures that the actor is alright now. He states that the actor began to shoot yesterday evening, even though everyone asked him to rest. He also jokes that the actor has more energy than everyone on the set put together would have.

Sunny Deol states that Dharmendra had only gone to the hospital for a check up. Meanwhile, Hema Malini, his wife, was in Haridwar for a dance performance when she found out that her husband was having health issues.

She admits to calling him up to ask if he was hiding something. She calmed down only when he assured her that he was fine. She reveals that she will pray for his long life and is glad that he got a good check-up done since it's important to stay cautious at his age.
